Leadership and Strategic Partnership
Our leadership team members have considerable experience as plain language professionals and advocates, and entrepreneurs. They are passionate about plain language. Carolyn Watt has over 35 years as a content strategist and communications professional. Paul Aiello has over 30 years as an entrepreneur. Debbie Kerr has over 30 years as a content strategist and communication professional and is our advisor for all communication to and for patients.
In June 2024, we announced our strategic partnership with Axess Lab, an international leader in accessible design based in Stockholm, Sweden. This collaboration integrates plain language services with accessible design principles. The goal is to help organizations create effective and inclusive communication strategies and communications that cater to a diverse audience.
Carolyn Watt
Carolyn is a seasoned plain language professional and entrepreneur. She was a business analyst, creating process maps for organizations who wanted to streamline and do things simply. She has spoken at PLAIN and is currently on the communications committee for the International Plain Language Federation (IPLF).
Paul Aiello
Paul is a creative problem solver and entrepreneur. Over the years, he has introduced many unique programs and state-of-the-art digital services to both the human and animal health sectors. With his leadership skills he has managed projects from concept to successful implementations and stand out launches.
Debbie Kerr
Debbie is a plain language professional with a passion for communication to and for patients. Her own cancer experience, trying to understand medical terminology and feeling she wasn’t getting the care she needed, led her to become a zealous advocate for herself and now others.
